Glycerin is used to bind water in treats by lowering water activity, and gives pet food and treats an irresistibly chewy texture. You can feel safe and confident in the usage of vegetable glycerin as the U.S Food and Drug Administration (‘FDA’) and the European Food Safety Authority (‘EFSA’) classify it as functional and safe when added in pet food as a preservative ingredient.

What is “Whole Muscle” chicken?

Waggin’ Train uses whole muscle chicken breast as the first ingredient in all jerky treat products to ensure the highest quality product for your dog’s health and happiness.
What is Waggin’ Train’s cooking/dehydrating process for Chicken Jerky Tenders?
All Waggin’ Train chicken jerky treats are made in small batches with chicken that comes from GAP (Good Agricultural Practices) certified farms. The chicken breast is tested and kept frozen until ready to thaw. Once thawed, our chicken breast is sliced evenly to prepare for drying. Our careful drying process occurs over several hours in large ovens, ending once we have met our moisture requirements. After cooling, each individual jerky piece goes through rigorous quality testing to ensure the highest quality product. It is then packaged up and sent out to our customers!
